The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot vacuum reviews to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners may miss.

The Roborock model, just like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and [Redirect-302] mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra best robot vacuum is one of the most expensive models available. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.

The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
