Diablo 4 Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are upgrade components that can be slotted into armor, weapons or trinkets to offer a bonus. They tend to be more expensive and require the item be of a certain rank.

You can also remove them from this list by right-clicking, or Control-clicking, a one of the glyphs in the list, and selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.

The Glyphs Panel also lets you to create a custom set of glyphs. This can be useful if you frequently need to type certain types of text. This will prevent you from having to manually insert each glyph when you require it.

A custom glyph set can include a maximum of 31 glyphs that include the base name as well as its suffix. The glyphs used in the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z) and lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9), and underscore (_). The suffix can include ligatures or contextual alternatives. These are special variants that combine two or more letters into one glyph.

Reroll Tokens

Upgrades are the primary mechanic that offers benefits on items, such as extra stats. Upgrades are available in three different types: rerolling, leveling up and recycling. Each type provides a different set of bonuses that are added to the item.

Reroll tokens are used to alter an item level upgrade's base stats and upgrade number. They can also be used to reroll substats of rings. This is beneficial when a player wishes to upgrade an item but the "potential" potential power of that item is not what they're looking for. Or if their substats of the item aren't what they want to be.

A reroll costs 1 token, and resets all upgrades on an item but will leave the rarity, set, and level intact. When an item upgrader mod is upgraded, it increases its tier and, with each tier, the main stat is increased by +3, and an additional stat randomly gets boosted alongside it. When an item is leveled to its highest possible level increases its rank by 1.

The Blueprint Desk allows players to buy new Appliances, Ingredients and Decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the beginning of each preparation phase. They can be opened using the Grab. Each blueprint comes with its own icon, and every category of upgradeable items has each with a distinct icon:

Certain recipes require certain Appliances or Ingredients which can be obtained by choosing a Franchise Card from the Blueprint Desk. Some Appliances and Ingredients are considered staples and are not available at the Shop or through a reroll, while others have a greater chance of appearing if a specific Franchise Card is selected from the Blueprint Desk. This is called the Staple Pool, and the items contained in it will remain in that pool for the remainder of the run. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.

Recycled Items

The third "R," recycle, is where the magic truly happens. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product made from recycled materials. This is because the majority of products that are recycled are returned to their manufacturer who originally made the item to be remanufactured to create a new product. This is what we call "closing the recycling loop."

Leveling

The majority of units can level-up, giving them extra XP every time they attack or are attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades or to increase the stats of the unit.
