Path of Exile Item Upgrading

Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment using new accessories. They can also increase the base stats of the item or provide additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player needs to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.

Items with weak bases, like rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with strong bases, such as the Titans of eth have little changes in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be incorporated into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, providing an added bonus or impact when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, retrieved as loot by enemies, or gotten from missions and chests. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before you can upgrade.

To upgrade an item of armor, the player must select it and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The preview will appear on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected upgrade statistics will be and also the material or component needed to complete the upgrade.

There are three types that are universal upgrades (which include gems) prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which comprise gems, can be placed in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Leveling
