The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and robots that vacuum and mop maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end best rated robot vacuum that's one of the most expensive on the market however, it comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop and automatic vacuum cleaner and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a plethora of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences.
