Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can decide to let the robot vacuum reviews take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot hoover and mop has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station features a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot cleaner crosses will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's finished.

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market and comes with a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customising your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and Robots That Vacuum and Mop feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
