However, levers don't create energy. They simply increase the force you apply by changing a small amount of effort over a large distance into a larger amount of force applied over a shorter distance. Levers are used to lift heavy objects and transport massive quantities of cargo. Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles, also known as upvc door handles, feature levers on both sides to operate the multipoint locks. They come in a variety of designs and finishes, and are suitable for a range of materials like UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for both the outside and the interior doors, with spindles and screws included. They are also available in handed and unhandled versions for different types of users.

These can be used to replace an existing upvc door. They are typically operated by lifting the levers to throw out all of the multipoint locks and turning the key to close and unlock. They provide a bit more security than the standard lever handles for doors because locking is only done by the inside using a key.

They're not as secure as a cylinder lock, however they are cost-effective ways to add extra security to your home. The only downside is that they don't offer the same level of security as a cylinder bolt and therefore don't stop external access when the door is left open.
